Jono Partridge

At the age of 10 I decided to take part in a learn to skate course. My coach Stewart , who I have had from day one, thought that I had talent and said he would like to take me for private lessons. From that stage onwards Stew has always believed in me and pushed me to be the skater I am today. I did one 15 minute lesson a week for a year and a half, and then the lessons started to build as my love for the sport did.

I am now at a stage where I am really enjoying what I am doing on the ice and I wouldn't change a thing... apart from having to get up at six in the morning! But I love to train, to push myself and always strive to make myself a better skater.

While training, we have been fortunate enough to work with some amazing people like Kathy Casey. The opportunity to work with a World and Olympic Coach was and continues to be, an incredible experience for us both.

We have also worked with:
World and Olympic Coach - Janet Champion
World and Olympic Coach - Tamara Moskvina – Seminar - April 2006
World and Olympic Medallist Robin Cousins– Seminar - June 2005
International Coaches Joy Sutcliffe and Karen Fletcher in Nottingham – Feb 2006

Stewart Feinstein

Time to introduce myself - Hi, I am Stewart; Jono's Coach.
I can't work out who I feel more sorry for: Jono or me!

It's been a very long journey; many ups and downs along the way and 8 years have really flown by. I am proud to say that I have never doubted Jono for one moment, and I truly believe that we are finally getting somewhere. For me this has been a labour of love; testing my faith, dedication and determination at every turn. Watching Jono develop into a mature and elegant skater has undoubtedly been a humbling experience.

Everyday our common goals and dreams are step by step, jump by jump and spin by spin coming closer to a reality, and I can't wait for the day that others' recognise in Jono what I have known from the start.
